Any cancellation made 14 days or more before the reservation start date will result in a full refund of your deposit, minus a $50 processing fee.

Changes can be made to your reservation without penalty if done 14 days or more before your reservation start date. Examples of reservation changes include: Adding or removing days to your reservation, changing boats, or changing accessories.

There are no rainchecks or rescheduling because of rain. Changes to accessories can be made for free at any time. Extending your reservation can be done for free at any time, based on availability.

For cancellations received less than 14 days before the reservation start date, the refund you receive is determined by whether the boat is re-rented for day(s) of your reservation period. You will be refunded for any days in which we are able to re-rent the boat.

You must be at least 21 years or older to be the primary renter or to operate the boat.

All boats are equipped with radios & GPS. We try to keep them in service at all times, but we cannot guarantee they will be operational. This is because of the tumultuous relationship that water and electronics have.

Each rental boat leaves the dock with a full tank of fuel. Once the boat is returned and refueled, the renter is responsible for the amount of fuel consumed during the rental time.

Per Maine law, all children under the age of ten (1) are required to wear a life jacket.

Per Maine law, if you are born after January 1, 1999, to operate any boat with over twenty-five (25) horsepower, you must posess a NASBLA-approved boater safety certificate. If you don't have one, we strongly recommed taking a NASBLA approved boating safety class. Please visit www.mefishwildlife.com/safetycourses for more information. Since laws vary by state, please check with your local marina to ensure your license is valid.

All boats are required to be back by 5 pm on the final day of your booking. We reserve the right to charge a late fee of $200 for boats that arrive aftr 5 pm. Boats returned more than 1 hour late may be responsible to pay a late fee equal to an additional full day.
